Today Pirate Mick and I went to an 'Antique and Collectors Fair' at Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire. Petwood Hotel
The weather was not good. Very cold and very wet. I need not had bothered about what to wear as I never had to take off my coat. I was wearing my faux fur leopard print coat and Irregular Choice Miaow boots, so still stylish. Glamour at all times!! (I am totally writing this in my fluffy mule slippers and chiffon baby doll nightie!)
When we arrived at 'Petwood' we both sat in front of the roaring fire in the bar and had coffee. This gave me chance to take in the surroundings. Petwood was used in the Second World War as Officers' Mess for 617 Squadron, otherwise known as 'The DamBusters'.
It was in 1945 it reverted to a hotel. It is seeped in history and well worth a look at the walls around the hotel at the memorabilia.

The fair was of a high class. There was around twenty stalls, mainly selling silver and China. The prices were top end and so you would not get a bargain but there was some pretty pieces. The stalls were nicely presented and friendly stall holders.
After the fair we headed to Woodhall Spa. I was pleasantly surprised to see most of the shops open. As it was Sunday I thought they would all be closed.
The lovely delicatessen shop was open and we purchased some cakes and a Rubik cube tin. Very retro! The window displays always show artistic flair The serving staff could do with being a little more warmer!! Service with a smile costs nothing but achieves lots!

We then popped across the road to one of my favourite shops.http://www.thebookfayre.co.uk/
'The Book Fayre'
It is a coffee shop, book store, second hand books, cards, stationary, gifts, toys. These are a few of my favourite things. (I think there's a song in there somewhere!!)
