In my 'Old' glasses. Still a favourite.

Hello! Hope you are well on the first Sunday in February. I have been to the opticians today. I use the high street chain 'Specsavers'.
I was surprised to be able to book an appointment on a Sunday but it was actually a good day to go as not too busy. I arrived promptly at 12.05pm and went upstairs to be taken straight for the pre tests. Pressing the little button when seeing a flashing light seems simple enough but I can not be the only person who finds it stressful!! Luckily I passed!! Yay!! The tests do not seem as bad as they used to. The puff of air in your eye used to make you leave a hole in the wall after being shot backwards. Today it was just a mild puff!
During the actual consultation it was discovered I have dry eyes!! Being the hard person I am I also need artificial tear drops!! (Actually I cry at Disney films and do not start me on anything involving animals!!)
Next stressful bit was choosing new glasses! I have chosen two pairs for day wear and a pair of sunglasses. I used to hate wearing glasses. Growing up there was not any role models who wore nice glasses. Dame Edna Everage, Elton John, Timmy Mallet and Deirdre in Coronation Street were the glasses wearers! You were considered ugly if you wore glasses. Remember the films when the secretary would let down her hair and take off her glasses and only then would become attractive! Times have moved on and since trouble with dry eyes I have worn my glasses a lot more. I find I get too tired wearing contacts a lot of the time and red sore eyes, not a good look. I also want to be a role model wearing glasses. I have therefore embraced the specs! Especially now they have vintage inspired glasses.
What do you think of my choices?

I will take some photographs when I have them, which should be in about a week. I may even look at extending my range of glasses to match my mood!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and remember 'Here's looking at you Kid'.
